Saguenay/Lac-Saint-Jean
There are great things to do in the Land of giants
This “Kingdom” where everything is larger than life is characterized by two massive bodies of water: the Saguenay Fjord and Lac Saint-Jean. The Fjord route is a monumental corridor dotted with picturesque villages and quiet bays and comprising the Parc national du Fjord in Baie-Éternité and the Musée du Fjord in La Baie. Whether by car or by bike, a drive around Lac Saint- Jean—a veritable inland sea—is a must, with a plethora of historic, amerindian, nature and outdoor attractions.

Gaspésie, I love you
Touring Gaspésie by car, following a fabled route of some 885 km (550 mi.), leaves no doubt as to why the region is renowned. Jutting into the St. Lawrence as it broadens into a gulf, Gaspésie offers outstanding natural beauty and fascinating wildlife (bird colonies, salmon rivers, etc.) as well as a wide variety of discovery and leisure activities.

It’s a region where city and nature coexist in perfect harmony, and where culture and the outdoors blend to perfection. What’s more, as part of the National Capital region, Outaouais provides easy access to the many attractions of nearby Ottawa.

Montérégie
Easy getaways close to Montréal
The dominant features of this region dotted with towns, villages and fertile fields are history and food. The Rivière Richelieu that starts in Lake Champlain on the Canada-U.S. border and empties into the St. Lawrence has seen its share of trade, not to mention skirmishes with First Nations and our neighbours to the south. The region has a Cider route that runs the gamut of the local brewers. If wine is more your thing, then the Montérégie Wine route will take you to a number of vineyards. Montérégie boasts the largest number of commercial sugar shacks in Québec: each spring, the rising of the sap signals the start of the feasting.
