Museums and heritage sites

Québec’s motto is “Je me souviens,” or “I remember”. So, it’s not surprising to find sites all over the province that commemorate the history and life of its inhabitants, including the First Nations. Sometimes, a particular site will evoke memories of an important event, while other times, a building itself can tell the story of an entire era. You might also visit an Économusée to watch artisans bringing their traditional crafts to life. For almost everything that moves you, there’s a museum: history, architecture and archaeology, art, science, commerce, trade and industry, not to mention the province’s builders, heroes, and other legendary figures.
